Your old friends are in another time zone. Do not announce “new in town, someone talk to me.” Name the neighbourhood problem: the bakery that is never open, the running route that is actually a highway, the language you are embarrassing yourself in. Strangers answer concrete complaints. They do not answer loneliness as a brand.
