Important notice
These documents are provided for general information about how Milox operates. They are not legal advice. By using Milox, you agree that you use the platform at your own risk, that you are solely responsible for your conduct and content, that Milox is an online technology platform — not a marriage bureau, matrimonial service, matchmaking agency, or guarantor of user conduct, identity, safety, or outcomes — and that third-party advertisements may appear in the app under separate advertiser and ad-network terms.
These Safety resources are provided to help you make informed decisions while using Milox. They are educational guidance only — not professional advice, guarantees, or a substitute for law enforcement or emergency services. Milox does not verify users, conduct background checks, or guarantee your safety. You are solely responsible for your choices, communications, and any offline meetings.
1. Understand the limits of the platform
Milox is an online platform that facilitates connections between adults. We do not guarantee the identity, intentions, criminal history, relationship status, or truthfulness of any user.
Profiles, photos, and messages may be inaccurate or misleading. Exercise skepticism and protect yourself accordingly.
2. Protect your personal information
- Share personal details gradually. There is no obligation to reveal your real name, workplace, home address, or daily routine early in a conversation.
- Never share one-time passwords (OTPs), banking details, credit card numbers, government IDs, or copies of official documents in chat.
- Be cautious about sharing live location, travel plans, or information about children or vulnerable family members.
- Use Milox’s in-app messaging until you have established trust. Be wary of pressure to move conversations to unverified external apps quickly.
- Review your privacy settings regularly. You may hide age, online status, or other details where the product allows.
3. Recognize common scams
If you suspect a scam, stop communicating, use block and report, and do not send money. Milox is not responsible for financial losses resulting from user interactions.
- Requests for money, gift cards, cryptocurrency, or ‘urgent financial help’ — especially from someone you have not met in person.
- Love-bombing: excessive flattery, rapid declarations of love, or emotional manipulation early in contact.
- Stories involving military deployment, medical emergencies abroad, or trapped funds that require your financial assistance.
- Pressure to invest in schemes, trading platforms, or ‘business opportunities’ introduced through dating contact.
- Requests for remote access to your phone, computer, or accounts.
- Profiles that refuse video calls, always cancel meetings, or provide inconsistent details.
4. Use Milox safety tools
- Block users who make you uncomfortable — you do not owe anyone continued contact.
- Report harassment, scams, impersonation, or policy violations through in-app reporting.
- Mutual interest is required before private chat on Milox, which helps reduce unsolicited messages.
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings or our Delete Account page.
5. Before meeting offline
- Consider a video call first to confirm the person matches their profile.
- Meet in a public, well-lit place for initial meetings.
- Tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to check in.
- Arrange your own transportation. Do not rely on someone you just met for rides, especially to private locations.
- Do not leave drinks, phones, or belongings unattended.
- Keep your phone charged and accessible.
- Trust your instincts. You may leave at any time — no explanation required.
6. Health and wellbeing
Online interactions can affect mental health. Take breaks when needed. Do not tolerate abuse.
Milox is not a mental health, medical, or crisis counseling service. If you are in emotional distress, contact qualified professionals or local helplines in your area.
7. Emergencies and serious incidents
If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services (such as police or ambulance) first.
After ensuring your immediate safety, you may report the incident to Milox and, where appropriate, to law enforcement.
Milox may cooperate with lawful requests from authorities but cannot investigate crimes on your behalf or guarantee specific enforcement outcomes.
8. Parents and guardians
Milox is for adults 18+ only. If you believe a minor is using the Service, report it immediately via our Contact page. See our Age Policy.
9. No guarantee of outcomes
Following these tips does not guarantee safety or successful connections. Milox disclaims liability for harm arising from user interactions, whether on or off the platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law. See our Terms and Disclaimer.
